REIT investing & the tax acts proposed in congress
« on: November 18, 2017, 09:54:32 AM »
Can anyone with real estate investment trust (REIT) investing experience or expertise comment on how REIT investors would be impacted under the proposed revisions to our tax laws?  i.e. do they stand to benefits/deliver greater returns if it passes?

For instance, I see that the timeline for depreciating property is proposed to be shortened to 25 years; I've heard there are other benefits for real estate investors too.

I am interested in this as well. PTF.

I am curious how baked-in the future rate increases really are to REIT prices, too... probably find out in December.
