Personal Favorite Vanguard Growth Funds? (Roth IRA)
« on: January 02, 2021, 10:35:52 AM »
Hello all, I'm sure once again this info is around the forums but a search doesnt really cut to the point of the question I have: What are a few of your favorite Vanguard funds for a Roth IRA that I can further research on my own? I have a very long investment horizon, am 100% stocks (comfortable with volatility) trying to achieve basically the 2/3 of a 3 fund portfolio now and the other 3rd later. I'm considering keeping it simple with VTI and VXUS but was curious if anyone preferred VOO over VTI or had a Nasdaq tracking fund they liked for instance? Very open to ideas specifically for international and Nasdaq funds.

Thanks in advance for all the answers, 2020 has been a productive year specifically due to my lurking on these forums. So from all the lurkers to the regular posters, we give a big thank you and hope everyone has a prosperous 2021!

For me; I'm VTI and VGT.  there is some overlap, but VGT is technology targeted.  99.999% of my portfolio is these two ETF's.  My wife wanted Boeing in her IRA when it hit 100/share, so we purchased like 53 shares...

the ratio is 1 : .5

so if I had 500k in VTI, I would have 250k in VGT.

Thanks for pointing out VGT, the more I look into the offerings I think I'll do some mix of VOO/VGT/VT. Fees of even .1% make me uncomfortable but I do want to widen my exposure to tech and get away from the SP5 just a little! :)
