Title: Pension plan options (Canada)
Post by: fullpampers on August 27, 2015, 11:47:23 AM
Hi again,

If anyone has any input as to what I should choose for my pension plan at work, it would be greatly appreciated. Or better yet, what to look for to make a good choice.

For the pension plan i put up 2% or my salary and the employer puts up 6% (I have/am building up more investments on the side. I'll have more questions later on!)

I chose this one (TDQCBalanced.pdf), because the MER is low (but they all are pretty much) and returns seemed somewhat similar to the other funds, and it's an index fund.

I set it up a year or two ago while I was reading on investing (I still am), thinking I would get back to it eventually.

I'm not sure what to look for in ready build funds, should I just pick one? or a mix of funds? Maybe a mix of Canadian equities (BIMCanEqu.pdf) and US equities (TDQCUSMRK.pdf)

I'm not sure how the pdf attachements will work, so I'll try posting this a see. I'll post the other funds in other messages because of the limit of 4 per post.

Thanks for any help, or information on how to choose between these.
