I have shares in symbol OIL. I also play oil with the Alerian MLP ETF (AMLP). At least with AMLP I get a decent dividend out of the deal.

Oil down 3% since beginning of thread. And supply continues to increase. Looks to be a sound play

Yeah I have stayed from USO because USL has outperformed it,

The two are probably closely correlated enough that it doesn't matter, but chasing performance is usually a loser's game within the loser's game of stock picking.

Not criticizing, just trying to help out a bit because you said you're new to all this.

I don't have those stocks research in front of me, but when I put them side x side, it was out performing USO year over year for multiple years.  I feel like that is something to look at, no?

Yes, one outperformed in the past so is likely to underperform in the future. You bought high. Next I suggest you switch to the other one when your investment drops, so you can nail in that sell low strategy.

Looks ike currently there is a 7% over the time of the thread.  That being said there were amply spikes to sell off and make even higher then that.

Oh really so active trading of a single commodity is what you're preaching now. That statement could have been made about anything. I'm glad you have a crystal ball. And notice how you went radio silent til you had a chance to come tell us you best the market over 8 months. Keep it up post every trade you make here before or at the time you make it and we'll see who comes out ahead in the next 30 years.

I rarely even come around here.  Saw you replied the same day I posted that.  I have a life, you should find one.  I saw your dickish post and thought it deserved an update.  I told you from the beginning I liked oil, you provided no help because you’re just a prick, yet still feel the need to come in here. What a joy you must be, not to mention such a helpful person.

No crystal ball here.  Didn’t come here selling some stock going to make you rich fast scheme.  Came asking for help.   You really need help, prick!
