« on: April 16, 2014, 05:33:30 AM »
Who has experience with Micro Investing?
Here are some websites:
http://www.kiva.org/ As little as $25 investment
http://www.microventures.com/ - $5,000 minimum

What are some others and what has been your experience?
Is this a possible legit source for investing or for chumps?

I can see why people like doing things like this, but I care about total return. And I generally trust multinational corporations, who are governed by an established system of corporate governance and disclosure and have a history of producing wealth and returning money to shareholders, more than I do these micro-entrepreneurs and such.

I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.
