Every so often I get a nice check for about 450$ from the Prosper class action lawsuit fund. I think I've gotten about 4 of them. My wife has asked me directly whether we made a profit out of our Prosper loans (we had up to 30k out on loans in 2005 thru 2008) and I respond "we have now" when we get these checks which probably did push us into the black. We got another one yesterday which will go into our investment account pronto.
Not sure what the suit was all about, perhaps bad collections by Prosper, lack of transparency, not really sure, but I say keep the checks coming.
