Looking for an article - found
« on: August 30, 2015, 04:48:23 PM »
Hello,

I recently read an article from a link on this forum that I cannot seem to find again. I would like to share this article with a friend. It was a study of cash holdings of 1-4 years of expenses and how in the long run that strategy looses out over the long haul, even in times of market downturns, versus to a balanced equity based position. If anyone posted or can locate it, I would appreciate it! The search on this forum and Google have left me down so far.

Thanks!,

I think you're looking for this?  It's about 10 threads down from this one on the Investor Alley page.

I've managed to find that one, but thank you for posting. This particular article studied those with 1-4 years of living expenses in cash to ride out market downturns. Lots of stars and numbers in how that strategy is less likely to be successful.

Found it for anyone interested.
