Does this exist anywhere?

For reference, I am invested in a 529 that says it is 100% invested in a vanguard fund. The share prices in this 529 do not match the vanguard fund and the 529 does not include dividends. I am trying to see if the total returns track as well as the 529 plan people claim they do.

Quick google search got one for the S&P 500 (with and without dividend reinvestment), should be a good proxy for most broad based US funds (VTI/VOO).

I'm also curious as to why the 529 vanguard fund would "not include dividends"...?

Actually yahoo finance let's you put in any ETF and change the dates (at the bottom) and I believe that's the return without dividends:

edited to add: it doesn't give the dollar amount you requested, just a % return.

Trust, but Verify.  I love it!

My belief is this type of fund is for the institutions servicing the uneducated masses who would be confused to see too much information such as a dividend or a fee. Thus the fund wraps fees and dividends all up nice in a wrapper.  The stock market is complicated, you wouldn't understand.

I’d be very curious to see your findings.   (I temporarily own one to get my 5% match salary increase from automatic payroll deductions)

You can use the ticker ^SP500TR for the S&P's total return on Yahoo finance

529 plans use different funds than the regular Vanguard funds, that's why the share prices don't match.
