Investment question from the UK
« on: March 22, 2019, 07:24:55 AM »
Hello all,

Newbie to the site so please bare with me.

I have been looking into the master that is, JL Collins, and taken a liking to his investment process. I would to love to get on board and start investing
but have hit a few hurdles.

I am looking to open an account in the UK at either of the companies below:

Hargreaves Lansdown
or
Cavendish

When I use the above companies search tool neither VTSAX or VBTLX show up.

Could someone give me a few equilavent index funds to use on these platforms?

Apologies if the question comes across as a simple one. I look forward to hearing from you.

Many Thanks,

Broom80

EU recommended funds for accumulating vs distributing

Why to not buy US domiciled funds like VTSAX or VBTLX

Do a search and post questions here, the people on there answer questions on EU investing regularly.

Hi @Broom80 and welcome!

There is a UK based section on the forum with many questions and answers to help you under UK Tax Discussion. It's not just about tax.
Vanguard UK are also a popular choice for Index Funds.

Enjoy having look around here :)

Also check out the Moneysaving Expert forum (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com) - that has vastly more UK traffic than here.
