Title: Investing in Advance of an ADU Project

Does anyone have any advice on where best to invest a sum of cash to be used for an Accessory Dwelling Unit (rental, granny flat) project I have initiated. The project will take me around 8 months to complete. I have earmarked the amount required and will need to have access to it within a few days, but also want to earn interest on it in a cautious manner. Some vehicles I have considered are an online savings account (various institutions offer up to 1.5% APY) or a low risk Vanguard fund. I appreciate any feedback.
