Title: invested 50K into a SEP account, now what
Post by: kayak3 on December 23, 2017, 01:37:36 PM
Hi last time in the market was in the 90's lost a lot in crash, said never again.

But never say never, my CPA wanted me to defer 50K, I opened an account in Vanguard 2 weeks ago, been studying their site, but not simple to pick.

I'm over 60 and plan on earning 120-135K a year, so any with drawals will not occur for a while, no problem with risk level of 4 or 5. I'll sleep fine.

I see stock funds in the 12+ return levels, but the bond returns at 3-4% look like not worth the trouble or are there higher rate bonds to consider that aren't junk.

Any guidance or suggestions?

I want to spend a few weeks getting up to speed before investing 50K a year

Thanks
