Instavest - New trading platform
« on: November 22, 2015, 12:25:24 PM »
Hello,

Has anyone looked into or is using Instavest?

I believe they are a relatively new service and started earlier this year.  I have heard about them on listen money matters podcast when they interviewed their CEO and another episode when they interview of one the traders.  From what I understand it's a trading platform crossed with a crowdsource element.  People will make trades but must explain their decision on the site.  The explanations are curated for general accuracy and quality.  Users can then decide to follow your trade and can voluntarily tip you from the profits they realize.  I believe the trades are $3.50 and the company makes money from people opening their account with their trading partner.

I signed up earlier this week and put a little bit of money on there to try it out.  Obviously this is not my investing strategy it's only for fun and learning really.

Thanks!

Love the name! "Are all your vests in the laundry basket? Need a vest in a hurry? Just add water! Instavest!"

(sorry, haven't heard of it until now)
