In the presence of prophets
« on: March 23, 2017, 12:06:54 AM »
Do you ever wonder if maybe Warren Buffett gets bored sometimes, and just for kicks he signs up a for a new account on a personal finance internet forum, and posts some all-knowing, prescient advice on his first post (or three) and then sits back watches a bunch of indignant forum warriors flame him into dust?

Course then, 6 months later when his prediction comes true he gets a little twinkle in his eye when something random reminds him of it, and he says "I tried to warn them. They just didn't listen."

He better not.. He needs to get back to work, and hunt down an elephant or three. We're not paying him that huge $100K salary for him to just goof off on the internet.

Adrian, goofing off on the internet.

I think the prophets do get that urge... but in order to get the maximum ROI from their contribution, I think they use platforms that most widely disperse the valuable knowledge and information they're sharing... books, interviews, annual letters to shareholders, etc.

Sadly, this stuff stays hidden in plain sight for many people though...

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
