I successfully timed the market.
« on: April 18, 2016, 04:17:20 PM »
Just kidding. But I had to sell today to pay down the mortgage for a refi,  and it was a better day to sell than Friday. Another day this week might even be better, but pretty happy with a small win.

Apparently I smoked the S&P 500 by half a percent last week. CNBC should be giving me a call, right?

Any profit is a win. Of course it would be a bigger number if you left in in the market until you are dead but that kind of defeats the reason we invest right. There is never any guarantee except the cash in your account

Somehow I get the feeling that the completely random (and passive) 5 day beating of the market probably gives us a better record than some hedge funds.
