How would you invest $5k for short term?
« on: March 02, 2015, 09:19:50 AM »
Hi,

My wife and I just received $5k that we want to invest for the short term. We will tolerate high risk in order to increase our short term gains. We are very new to investing, what would you do?

"Short term" and "high risk" generally don't belong in the same sentence unless "do not" is also in that sentence.

If you really want to do this, http://etf.stock-encyclopedia.com/category/triple-leveraged-etfs.html gives one list.

For short term, [urlhttps://www.gecapitalbank.com/savings-products/online-savings.html]GE Capital Bank[/url] (or similar) at 1.05% seems good enough....
