Another 401k Thread
« on: November 16, 2014, 04:02:25 PM »
Hello, my wife's company just merged and they have a different 401k plan.  It has a great match... 50% of every $1 up to 12%.  We will be contributing the full 12% for the company 6% match.

My company has an easy "Target Retirement Date" fund, but not hers.  Not sure if this is enough info, but can someone please recommend an allocation?

Thanks so much in advance!

Ouch! Those are some high expense ratios! The BlackRock Large Cap Core fund seems to correlate pretty well with VTSAX, so that could probably work as well as any for your domestic stock portion.

Double ouch on the expense ratio! I went with a S&P for my dh because it had the lowest expense ratio, but your options are limited. Are you allowed to do in-service rollovers? If so, I'd rollover as soon as possible!
