How often do brokerages update P/E and other stats?

Are they updated in real time, daily on close number? or quarterly?

trying to find this info for tdameritrade, but can't locate any documentation on the site.

Earnings are reported quarterly. The PE is the current (second-to-second) price divided by the last four quarters of reported earnings.

Right before earnings are reported the PE ratio is arguably dated, because it includes info reported 14 months ago, earned between 15 and 17 months ago, and does not include any earnings from the past 3 months.
