I just read this Wade Pfau article, thanks to Kitces' (http://www.kitces.com/blog/weekend-reading-for-financial-planners-apr-26-27/?utm_source=Nerd’s+Eye+View+%7C+Kitces.com&utm_campaign=80082b87b7-NEV_MAILCHIMP_LIST&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_4c81298299-80082b87b7-57011125#more-3969) recommendation:  http://www.onefpa.org/journal/Pages/APR14-2-Schools-of-Thought-on-Retirement-Income.aspx

Pfau summarizes the differences in the liability matching school and the safe withdrawal rate and probabilistic school on retirement planning.

The Kitces site (blog at least - didn't check the paid portions) seems an interesting peek behind the curtain of the financial services industry.  With hindsight glasses on I see it has been mentioned a handful of times in the forums but it hadn't registered before now.

Thanks!
