Title: HELOC with bonuses?

I'm thinking of setting up a HELOC so we can comfortably reduce our emergency savings. Unless I'm missing something, the HELOC itself seems pretty straightforward, particularly since I don't plan on drawing on the HELOC except in the case of an emergency.

Does anyone know of banks that are providing cash incentives for opening HELOCs, like some of the ones we've seen for credit cards, checking/savings, etc.?

I have only seen discounted rates or promo periods (reduced rate for 1 year, etc).

I had good luck with Hanscom FCU.  You might check them out.  hfcu.org
