Have $2K extra a month for ETFs
« on: July 05, 2014, 11:10:57 PM »
Well, I have $2K extra a month to invest - most likely low cost ETFs.

I currently don't have much in the market. I have a 99 shares of Apple (pre-split) - some in a Roth, some not. Most bought at around $70.

Everything else is in USA Real Estate or other, somewhat odd investments (a billboard in Asia, a chunk of land (palm oil plantation land to be precise) in Malaysia, etc.)

I currently have a Scotttrade account.

I don't have the time to research ETFs in depth. I trust that the MMM crowd has sussed out the ins and outs of investing, especially ETFs.

Let the recommendations roll…

… and thanks in advance ….

It depends a lot on your desire hold time as well as risk tolerance.

Here are some portfolio allocation ideas:

This is what I do:

8% BND
8% VDE
8% VNQ
4% VPU
48% VTI
24% VXUS
