e-Trade / Schwab Funds - orders did not process yesterday?
« on: March 17, 2020, 06:47:57 AM »
So I re-balanced yesterday. Vanguard went through no problem, but my soloK is at eTrade and has quite a bit more money in it than I have at Vanguard. But e-Trade doesn't seem to have processed any of my SWAGX to SWISX / SWTSX exchange orders. Put them in at 9:25 yesterday morning. Was showing "you'll have to pay a fee", so I did the "select lots" version of the trade.

Anyone else seeing this? Not that big of a deal I guess - was only about 3% of the account.

We rebalanced yesterday at Schwab without a problem.

eTrade says "can take 1-3 days for mutual fund trade confirmations to come in". We'll see what happens.

And once things settle down, this might be the thing that finally gets me to move the 401K over to Vanguard.

Back in the day - about 9 years ago, eTrade was one of a handful that had a Roth option, so I went there. And Vanguard only allowed investor shares at that time. Plus I was 9 years more stupid. I was looking at moving it over a few years ago when I noticed they had added those good Schwab funds to the NTF list - so I stayed with eTrade and moved everything to the Schwab funds.

May be time to revisit consolidating those over to Vanguard again.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
