FSTVX and FSTMX?
« on: November 18, 2014, 10:26:34 PM »
Hey all,

I'm considering buying FSTVX and noticed there's a $10k minimum. I'm planning to go with this one since the fees are a little lower than with FSTMX and I have the funds to. I was wondering though, if I put say $15k in right now, can I invest however much even if it's under $10k from then on (e.g. as long as I start with at least $10k, I could put $1k, or $2k, or 5k later on)?

I think the answer is yes, but just wanted to confirm before I commit.

Correct. $10,000 is the initial amount required for the Advantage class only, not the minimum for all subsequent additions to the fund. On the page next to minimum investment there is a footnote (6). Look at the last sentence of that footnote:  "There is no minimum for additional investments in any type of Fidelity fund you already own."
