FIRE Financial Planner - HELP NEEDED!

Hello fellow mustachians!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a financial planner to assist us with our FIRE plans? I know I'm supposed to be able to figure this out for myself, but I want some advice on the things we should be doing in the last 2-3 years leading up to our FIRE plans and a conventional planner just isn't going to get it!

We plan on living overseas with our 2 kids for a while and will most likely return to the workforce at some point to boost savings and keep us busy. We both love working, but need a break to spend time with our kids after 10 years in the same positions.

We're great savers and have income streams in place just need some help figuring out where to put money and work out tax liability.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Honestly, there isn't paid advice you could get that people on the MMM forums wouldn't be able to answer (probably better, too). I've been around here for 4 years and have asked many questions about my situations. We're very fortunate to have this community.

I highly recommend making a "Case Study" topic.

It is good that you have passive income streams. You'll need those. Maybe start a thread or edit this one with what you have and where you want to get to.

A financial planner like a CFP will cover the following categories:

• Goals financial,personal,educational, ect.
• Monthly cash flow income vs spending
• Assets/Debts/Networth
• Insurnace life/auto/home/liability/medical/disability
• Taxes
• Estate Planning

Let us have a crack at it.
