Title: Cost Basis on Vanguard's website?
Post by: whitetailugys on April 18, 2016, 07:17:32 PM
Trying to find the cost basis of a holding on the Vanguard website. I just spoke with a rep and she could not find it, nor could anyone she asked. She asked that I call back tomorrow and speak with a licensed representative. Best she could do is ask me to calculate all of my transactions (pages to include cash plus dividends)

Also trying to find Cash Invested, per fund. She couldn't help with that either.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

It's in "Balances and Holdings" right in the middle of your screen in beige colored box

Thanks for the response. I am on my 401K plan but simply do not see a "Balances and Holdings" section :(

I'm on taxable. When you log in, you will be taken to main account page. Bal and hold will be left of 2 circles that show your portfolio mix

Cost basis is pretty much irrelevant in a 401k anyway.

Yeah. OP, why do you care? There's no capital gains or dividends tax to pay on things in your 401k.
