Title: choosing the right peer group
Post by: frugalecon on September 08, 2014, 03:41:50 PM
There was a column in the WSJ recently about how investors are influenced by the people around them (http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2014/09/05/the-badness-of-crowds-pick-your-peers-wisely/), and it made me think about how one of the positive things about this particular community could be the opportunity to have a peer group that reinforces sensible investing decisions.

Choose a peer group that is comfortable with going against the grain. If you go with the crowd, the price will be inflated due to demand.
