« on: January 24, 2019, 07:51:02 AM »
Hello!

Title says it all, im about to invest a great portion my funds into VUN or VUS.

Which one should I pick as a canadian investor with a time frame of 20-30 years to go.

Thanks in advance

I want to say unhedged. The Canadian Couch Potato site has an article that goes in depth into this, I think. I’d recommend reading the stuff on their site thoroughly before making any decisions, rather than just trusting a bunch of internet strangers.

I've read that over long time frames, currency fluctuations tend to cancel out.  Hedging costs more.  I think Larry Swedroe recommends against it in his books.  I assume you also have investments in Canadian stocks, and ex-US international stocks?

Getting back to this post.

After some reading on the Canadian Couch Potato website, I decided to go with those ETFs : XAW for US and international coverage, VCN for canadian stocks and ZAG serving for an airbag.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
