Canada: a US-only ETF?
« on: January 21, 2016, 02:36:39 PM »
To rebalance, I need to put some into US stocks only (as opposed to VXC, which is about 50/50 US/rest of world).

I could buy TDB661, but prefer Vanguard's lower fees. Does Vanguard have an only-US-stocks ETF that we Canadians can buy?

VUN for unhedged all cap.

VFV for S&P500

There are also hedged versions if youre into timing the exchange rate markets at a higher fee.

I also own VUN ("U.S. Total market" - thousands of holdings, I believe) and XUS (S&P 500).

Why hold both?   Does one perform different than the other?

In hindsight, not really. One or the other would be fine.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
