Calculators to figure fund investment returns over x years?
« on: November 27, 2018, 02:58:25 PM »
Is there a calculator that will spit out investment return data from a selected fund, money amount, and specific initial investment year?

I'd like to be able to take a fund (Vanguard total stock market index fund, for instance) and see what my returns would be if I put X dollars in in X year.

It's not a specific fund and not total market but return wise it's going to be darn close

Besides the simple example of one investment and x years, you can specify multiple investments, how much you contribute each year, and how often you rebalance.

If by "would be" you mean "would have been" then see also How to use Morningstar growth charts.
