403b roth conversion question.
« on: October 23, 2015, 05:35:06 AM »
Right now in my 403b I have funds in VIIIX. The fund has a 200 million minimum investment so its safe to say I could never get access to it on my own. When I leave my current employer and I convert to a roth IRA will the funds stay in VIIIX and will I be able to keep contributing to that fund or will they force me to cash it out or just not let me contribute to the fund any longer?

When you move your funds to an IRA, you will not be able to keep the same institutional-class funds that you have now. Depending on the employer, you may be able to leave the funds in the plan without paying any extra administrative fees until you're ready to do your Roth conversion.
