Title: Best Money Market Fund
Post by: Tucandream on January 24, 2020, 11:28:19 AM
I have approximately $50,000 cash accumulated that I want to put into a money market fund or similar very low risk investment.  When I search for good MMF's I keep getting ones  closed to investors or with minimums of $1Mil. Any recommendations? I want to keep this money liquid for potential non-market investment.

Have you thought of I bonds?  I found totally replacing my cash accounts with I bonds good for my situation.  Just latter them at 10k per year over 5 years.  You can't cash in until after a year but after that it's a pretty good plan and guaranteed not to lose money on inflation.  And in periods of deflation you make money.
