Anyone selling Tesla ?
« on: December 15, 2020, 03:26:32 PM »
Just curious, is anyone selling bulk of their Tesla in assumption it pops, then buy back in after?

There's the guy who predicted the 2008 crisis:

"'Big Short' investor Michael Burry reveals he's short Tesla, tells Elon Musk to issue more stock at its 'ridiculous price''

It's too rich for my blood.  I'm actually interested in the bull case that supports current pricing:  What % of the vehicle market doe you expect Tesla to hold in 2030, what other industries is Tesla going to lead in 2030 (solar? commercial/industrial battery storage).  I read recently that Tesla's market capitalization is as high as the 9 largest auto manufacturers combined.

I was set up to make a killing on stock options after Musk said he was taking it private for $420.  The stock price wasn't reacting to the news enough.  Turns out he was lying and I had to sell the options at a loss before they expired.

for me, tesla is a long term bet (ten years plus, as someone said).  But given the prices......im tempted to sell at current bubble and buy back in after correction.....assuming it will drop...

To justify their current market cap?  Maybe 130% of the US market instead of current 1-2%.  There is no bullish enough growth perspective on current financials to justify.

I sold my funds today that had 5-10% in Tesla.  I did not have the stock by itself.  Really good rightup comparing Tesla to Amazon and Toyota.  Basically Tesla could have absolutely insane growth beyond wildest expectations for 5 years and still be massively over valued compared to even Amazon (which is also really up there as well).

I sold my TSLA last week, and will wait for a pullback to buy back in.

Nice move....I tried that but was too greedy and missed it.

What’s your buy back in price?
