Title: Any wisdom on gradually moving to a new AA vs all at once?
Post by: retireatbirth on October 26, 2017, 07:28:18 PM
I have about 260k invested all in stocks and reits. At this point, I want to move to 5 or 10% bonds. Is there any advantage to doing this gradually with new investment vs just rebalancing?

Is this in a taxable account? If so you will want to take capital gains into account. Otherwise it shouldn't matter much.

You're talking very small amounts of money, relatively.  Just move it.
