Title: another 401(k) question -when do contributions get counted?
Post by: pirate_wench on November 25, 2014, 06:11:43 PM
Can't find an answer on the googlewebs. Trying to max out my 401(k) this year. My company takes a few weeks to deposit the money into fidelity after i get my paycheck. Knowing this, will money taken out of my last paycheck of 2014, but deposited in January 2015 count for 2014 or 2015?

It counts on the day you receive the paycheck.
