TSP contribution didn't post until Nov. 4?
« on: November 05, 2014, 03:18:39 AM »
From what I understand, TSP contributions are supposed to post at the closing of the first trading day of the month. I looked at my previous statements, and all my previous contributions have posted on the first trading day. Did anyone else's contributions not post until Nov. 4?

It actually was beneficial as prices were lower on the 4th, but I thought it was kind of peculiar.

Hubz didn't either, nor did my 401k.  I think it's because the actual pay day was a Saturday, it went in on the 3rd as pending, posted as available on the 4th

Good to know I'm not alone. February 1st and March 1st of 2014 were also on a Saturday, yet my contributions for those months both posted on the 3rd of the month. I'm wondering why it was different this time. I sent the TSP a message; hopefully I'll get some clarification.

I've always seen purchases/contributions/loan repayments go through the Monday after payday.

Am I missing something?

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
