Accidently opened roth ira for 2014 when I wanted traditional...
« on: November 01, 2014, 09:30:50 AM »
For some reason I thought I could contribute 5,500 to both a Roth and traditional IRA in the same year.  I opened a Vanguard Roth IRA a few weeks ago.  Does anyone know if i can change this to a traditional IRA without paying a bunch of fees?  I feel so dumb.

Probably best to contact Vanguard to see if they can change the account and contribution type.
