Investing with P2P Lending platforms, Project for MBA class
« on: August 12, 2017, 04:47:11 PM »
Howdy Investors,

I am involved with a project for my Entrepreneurial Finance class at Babson and we are looking at P2P lending as an option for funding a start-up.  In addition to looking at how borrowers approach this, I am looking at how investors view these sites for funding start-ups. Have any of you used sites like Prosper or LendingClub as a means of investing?

I just have a couple questions to ask any of you that would be willing to donate some time (maybe 10 minutes?)

Thank you for your help!

I will share my findings (names will be left out) when we are done with the project as well.

I don't think Prosper or Lending Club are particularly suited to funding startups. And anyway, you get so little about what the listing are going to be used for anymore, you have no real way to know if you're funding a startup other than the stated purpose of a loan is for business.
