Title: 401k Rollover
Post by: LearningMustachian72 on June 25, 2019, 12:21:37 PM
Hey!

Switching jobs and want to rollover my 401k to a traditional IRA for low cost index fund investing.

My options are as follows:

Charles Schwab
90% = Schwab Total Stock Market Index Fund (0.03% Expense)
10% = Schwab International Index Fund (0.06%)

Vanguard
90% = Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund (0.04%)
10% = Vanguard Select FundsTotal International Stock Index Admiral (0.11%)

Seems like Schwab is the clear winner for this investment strategy but I am wondering if anyone has any longer term considerations for Schwab vs. Vanguard or other things I should consider?

Thank you in advance!

I actually found a great article here...

My question is, would the capital gains tax come into play if I plan to use the Roth conversion ladder in the future?
