Title: 401k performance question
Post by: helfer on October 29, 2015, 07:48:45 AM
7.83% average since 2013.

2013 - 28%
2014 - 3%
2015 - (-7.5%)  so far

I've recently changed some of my higher expense ratio stocks into Prudential stock Index Z, trying to determine if everyone having a downturn or if I need to consider changing my investments further.

Thanks

What date is this -7.5% number from? As of today the S&P 500 is up 1.39% year to date, but if you were looking at a statement from the end of September the S&P 500 was down almost 7% at that time.

Are you investing mostly in index funds? If not, consider changing that.

The date was previous quarter, so that makes sense.  I was not investing in index funds, have made changes to correct that.

Thanks
