Those aren't percentages, are they? No way you have a 0.006% fee on the S&P 500, so it must be 0.6%, right? In which case, the fees are high, but not obscenely high.

Is this a periodic account maintenance fee? My 401(k) charges something like $5/quarter to cover administrative expenses. The expense ratios for the funds are taken out behind the scenes and don't result in any transactions that are visible to me.
I would say a $1.96 fee for plan expenses is perfectly reasonable as long as you are invested in some low-cost index funds.

Yeah, you're being charged more than this behind the scenes. You'd want to know what your expense ratio was for the underlying funds.

You could be right. We aren't saying your funds are expensive--just that you don't actually know what they are costing you. You could due more research to find out for sure.
