Website idea about personal journals
« on: February 03, 2014, 11:09:55 AM »
It would be nice when we start a journal thread in the forum if we could mark it as "My Journal".

Then, up in the top left where we have options like "show unread posts since last visit", we could also have a link that was "to last page of My Journal".

That's a neat idea.  For now it's probably simple enough to just make a bookmark in your bookmarks folder, and update it every time your journal grows a page longer.

It would be a nice touch to have it on the website, though. I wonder if an SMF extension can do that?

It would also be nice if we could have an option of showing all our posts (and only our posts) in a particular thread. This would come in handy anywhere, but more so with a journal, for tracking data and progress. Another forum I visit has that function, but as far as I can tell, we don't have that here yet.

You could probably cleverly design a search to do that.

Yeah, but I'm on the road using other people's computers... :(

Use one of the custom bookmarking sites that act as a home page, then you can set up all your links on that, just visit that site on their computers, and have access to everything.

Or design and host your own in your public dropbox folder and just visit that URL.
