I can't always find the posts I want using the forum search bar. I've had good results using Google's site search. Just type:
"site:forum.mrmoneymustache.com"
into Google, followed by the terms you're searching.

Great tuip.
I use this search technique all the time, for many different websites.
Only thing is it won't work on stuff hidden from Google (like the journals).
