Request for sub-forum for UK MMM Fans?
« on: July 26, 2017, 02:55:31 AM »
Dear admins - we have a lively UK (&Ireland) discussion going on in another thread on the forum.  It occurred to us that a separate sub forum for us MMM fabs from the UK might be helpful.  We have completely different taxation and savings and Pension rules, and it would be good if we could enage with other for suggestions, experiences and mutual support, all within the MMM spirit of course.

Many thanks

PD

Yes please! Our savings vehicles are very different, as is our tax/government assistance situation (mortgages, health insurance, old age pensions...)

Hi admins.

Yes please to this idea, it would be very useful as I often find the UK threads quickly fall down the ranks as the other topics attract more comments.

Wait your turn. The convicts are first in line for a sub-forum.

(this was denied previously btw, on the basis that it it's impractical to have 200 different sub-forums for taxes and investments)

Surely its based on demand though - I mean we aren't going to have a sub-forum for Madagascar are we!

Just call it "rest of the world" or something.

Then we can all pile in together.. :)

Give us enough time the brits will take over and have a pub in the corner, greasy spoon in the other and kebab shop open till 3am. ;)

UK, Canada and Australia/NZ seem like reasonable subforums. Monaco, North Korea and Outer Mongolia... Not so much.

Canada and Australia have both asked. We would STILL really like a subforum each. Actually, maybe a Canada, Australia, UK and NZ subforum would be doable????

We all have much more similar monetary/taxing/land... systems - the US systems are quite foreign in comparison.

Chiming in with support for the UK sub-forum - our investment choices are a lot different from the US "norm".

+1.   Please, Admins -- can you give this to the UK/irish folks?

I live in the US BTW and I think this is a great idea.  The UK and Irish folks are some of our very best forum 'citizens.'  We definitely want them to stick around!  Seems like we should give them the separate space to focus on their unique investment vehicles.

I would think you could make a subforum for UK/Ireland, and a separate one for Australia/NZ, and you would make lots of us very happy.

Thank you!

I added UK/Australia/Canada tax subforums.

Please don't add a bunch of extra work for us posting things in the wrong forums and then making the moderators move them.
