Unable to post pictures the last few days -- posts being "eaten"

Suddenly in the last few days I've been unable to post photos.  When I try the entire post disappears, text and all -- gets "eaten."  Posts without pictures seem to be functioning normally.

Anyone else having this problem?

If I post photos that are too big, this happens to me. Could this be the reason?

Very interesting @deborah!  I just started to type "I don't think so" because I post pictures all the time, but then I realized the particular pictures I was trying to post the last couple of days were taken with someone else's phone.  Maybe the file size is much larger somehow?

Yes that was it @deborah.  I looked at the properties of the photos and they were huge -- like 1.5 MB each, vs. the ~100kb pictures I usually post.
