Mod Warnings: Are they linked to a specific incident?
« on: November 14, 2016, 09:39:56 AM »
Yesterday I received the following message:

"You have received a warning for insulting other users. Please cease these activities and abide by the forum rules otherwise, we will take further action.

Regards,
The Money Mustache Community Team"

First, I want to apologize for stepping out of line. Obviously tensions have been higher than usual in the political discourse in the "Off-Topic" section, but it truly hasn't been my intention to levy personal insults at anyone.

Second, I want to ask if there is any way to identify the specific incident that triggered the warning? There was no way to respond to the moderator(s) who sent the warning, and no link to the offending statement. I ask not to defend myself (obviously someone thought I was insulting, and the moderator agreed) but that I may have a better understandings of where the lines are drawn.

Thanks to the mods for all of their hard work!

A fellow forum member helped me out with this one. The matter is resolved. Thanks to all.
