When it went down this morning, it responded to pings but still wouldn't load.

Tweet from MMM on June 28: "If you like how MMM suddenly works perfectly, thank @getpantheon . My 8 CPUs are loafing even with high traffic!"

Does this apply to the forum also?  Noticed the forum section on the MMM main blog page is blank.

MMM SeeTheStats page has its last data from ~May 3.  Will that be updating?

Again, thanks to Kevin and everyone else doing the behind-the-scenes work!

The forum is still on Weberz. We are considering moving it elsewhere, but for now we are trying to keep it running here. We are in the process of adjusting the settings in order to stabilize it.

Are there things we can do to help with the forum?

Is cost the issue for scaling on AWS?

Are there still technical issues with the forum? I'm finding it very, very slow with the connection often cutting out. Not sure if it's the forum or something on my side.

I couldn't get on the forums for most of yesterday (Error: address unreachable), even when I could access the main MMM site.

Me too.

Seems better today though.

Yes the forum was offline yesterday for the majority of the day. I contacted the web host and they rebooted the server to get the forum back online.

No root cause analysis of why it was down? :(

It doesn't seem like this forum takes *that* much traffic, so a single EC2/GCE instance should handle stuff, and let you scale easily as it grows - move to a larger instance, or move the database server to one of the cloud SQL instances, etc.  Then you can load balance across multiple frontends easily enough, but that's likely far down the road.

It is nice, most of the Internet is so overwhelming, but this forum is leisure.  Click button and ... slowly ... it .. responds ... not overwhelming at all ... like floating in the sky from one place to another ... calm ... peaceful ... time to contemplate .. dream with the sunlight shining through your eyelids, restful.

I've been noticing quite a few mini outages lately. Like 5 minutes or so where the forum goes down.

Pretty frequently still.

I've been noticing that as well, and fairly short, 3-5 min range generally. Probably 4 or 5 times per day the past week.
