Hey there,
I had an idea for a product I wanted to pursue as a side gig for fun. I have no clue where to start:
1. I wanted to design something similar to a retractable display banner (the rolling units you place on the floor and pull a banner up from). However, it would need to be able to be taken apart by the user so would need to be fairly user-friendly. I find that when using these banners they can sometimes can jammed and it becomes near impossible to fix.
Where would you start? Buying existing display banners and toying around with them? Then mock ups? I don't know anything about fabricating, etc.
Would love your input if you've worked on designs like this before. Thanks!
