Title: Tracking work time / billable hours / etc

For those of you working from home, and juggling projects / jobs / clients, how do you track your time and hours?  With an app, with a spreadsheet, some kind of bound logbook or planner? 

I'm needing to get way more organized on tracking my time, and I prefer old-fashioned bound logbooks and just writing it down, but I am not finding anything so far that's what I'm envisioning.  Just wanted to throw it out there and see what everyone else is using.  If it's time to get with the 21st century and go with a digital time tracker (preferably on the computer, I'm really hesitant to use an app on a phone), then I will. 

Let me know what you use, and why you think it is (or isn't) the way to go!

Most of my stuff is done in MS Word on SharePoint, so the "Version History" gives a good idea of how long I spent on something.

It would help to know what industry you are in and what service you provide. There are many software solutions for project tracking and time tracking for CPA's and tax professionals. I've used a few of them. Construction I believe has other software to use for this. Attorneys, engineers, etc. all have their own tailor made software solutions.

There are also some more general ones, just for time tracking, however I am unfamiliar with those.

I have used Office Time for years for time tracking. It's cheap, easy to use, and available for both Windows and Mac. Good features and reporting.

I use Toggl. It's a free time tracking software that you can install as a plug-in on your browser or on your phone as an app.

I use Google Sheets - but I don't do a ton of hourly work. A relatively small amount of hours for a few clients. I'd go with a time tracking tool if I was all hourly.

Work projects will be primarily taxes and bookkeeping, with the office/mgmt portion of our REI (flips) business when we have a project going, but I also want to be able to track my household activities - homeschooling, housework, general goofing off on my computer or otherwise, LOL.  Sounds like digital is the way to go, I'll suck it up and get with the modern world, haha!  Thank you for the suggestions, I will go check them out!
