Luxury travel website - feedback desired!
« on: January 18, 2020, 02:44:14 AM »
Hey everybody, thanks for reading.

I've started a travel website called Lifestyle Luxury Travel. The premise is that I use my membership with Lifestyle Holiday Vacation Club in order to invite guests to All-Inclusive resorts. My guests enjoy their own private suite or villa, in addition to VIP member benefits, such as premium restaurants, drinks, beaches and transportation.

This is my first time creating a website. Would you be willing to review my site and give me feedback? What is confusing, what would you want more information on, what do you like about it, etc.

I would really appreciate it!

The website looks professional -- it wouldn't make me think twice about booking through your service. On the rates page, it would be helpful to have a column for the cost per person all-inclusive charge, assuming that's how it works. It's not entirely clear if you're obligated to pay the right-hand-column amount based on max occupancy, or if the all-inclusive charges scale with the number of people staying.

Aside from the quality of the site, I'm curious as to whether the Club is ok with you using your membership for commercial resale. This could come to light when your guests interact with the Club staff.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to think of a more obvious way to communicate the All Inclusive rates.

The parent company encourages members to promote the club and attract guests. It's basically free advertising for them. They get to sell rooms, as well as make money from All Inclusive packages.

Thank you!

I used Weebly. Easy to use, no coding involved, just plug and play. There is a free option, but also paid options which have additional features like email accounts.

Nice job on the site. If I wanted to go to those places I'd totally consider booking or getting more info but none of those places are of interest to me. Good luck with the venture

I'm a weirdo, so I judge websites based on how they look when I try to print them as PDFs. Yours stays quite legible and useful when printed. Well done.

My confusion is on rates - and it may be the same confusion above.

If i have 2 adults, do i pay the room rate PLUS 2x the all-inclusive rate?

Can I go solo? I feel like most all inclusive places have different rates for solo vs double occupancy. If it's all based on double occupancy, then perhaps you could show "all inclusive rate" for 2 adults AND room, instead of making me multiple the last number by 2 and then adding the room rate.

I'm definitely not your target audience, so take this fwiw.

The site is very attractive visually. The various accommodations look lovely. But I don't get a good sense of what the resorts are like. I would prefer an overall description of each resort and its amenities, with the various accommodation possibilities grouped under it.

The list of amenities that guests have access to is a little confusing. Some things are listed just as nouns ("All meals"), some use additional words like "access to" or "available"--do those words mean you have the right to use those facilities but there's an extra charge for the actual food?

It seems strange not to be able to book directly online.

I'm a little confused by the two similar-but-different names (Lifestyle Luxury Travel and Lifestyle Holiday Vacation Club). What is the relationship between those two entities?
