This is probably not a big deal to many here with other types of businesses, but a big win for my lil poky company.
Deal 1: A local country club. $9000 initial sale, $425 monthly service contract. This dance started 9 months ago with an initial proposal and presentations. Multiple revisions and emails. A meeting with the board to defend the original proposal. Several months of silence when I thought it was dead in the water Wedding and party season getting close. . And today a signed agreement with a deposit check. Fist bump!
Deal 2: A new-in-town engineering firm. $157 monthly lease, for a 2 year term. Proposal was given Monday. They loved the design and wish install in 2 weeks to coincide with their opening. Bonus, the CEO's wife wants my services for an additional residence for the McMansion they are moving into. Additional bonus: I already own much of the leased product so the pay back will be relatively short.
Big win for my poky little company. I generally get about one new client a month. 2 in one day is unprecedented. My long term part time employee is overdue for a raise, and now I feel confident giving her the $1 an hour boost she well deserves. Year end, I'll be able to pad my SEP IRA and add more to savings.
