Conference Call Recommendation
« on: January 15, 2019, 08:30:27 AM »
Need to set up a conference call.  Would like a dial-in number that's cheap or free.  Any recommendations?

We use Zoom meeting, which I like.  There's a personal option which is free, but the free version limits you to 40 minutes for group (3 or more) meetings.
If you instigate the meeting your participants will get both a call-in number and a web address for participation.

ETA: Whichever you choose, I've been using and am very happy with Krisp (https://krisp.ai/download.html.  Krisp is an app for Macs that reduces background noise in conference calls on a number of different programs (including Skype and Zoom).  Big difference in clarity.

I can report that https://www.freeconferencecall.com/'s dial in number was not included on all plans. Google Voice and T-Mobile both charged $0.01/min to call the number (T-Mobile didn't warn me).

We've also been using this for years and it has been great.  No problems.

We use GoToMeeting at work.  It's not free, but I think it's fairly inexpensive.

Thanks all.  Wound up using UberConference which seemed to work great.
